Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manual Tester / QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team for a critical database and application modernization project. In this role, you will be responsible for validating that our core software applications function flawlessly as the underlying database infrastructure shifts from Oracle to PostgreSQL. Since this is a database migration, success depends on data integrity, accurate business logic execution, and regression testing rather than UI layout changes. You will be the last line of defense, ensuring zero data loss, exact functional replication, and a seamless transition for our end users. Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Scenario Design ● Analyze existing Oracle-based application behaviors and document detailed test cases to establish a functional baseline. ● Create comprehensive test plans targeting specific migration risks, such as data type conversions, boundary limits, and null value handling. ● Design end-to-end regression test scenarios to ensure that existing business workflows remain completely unbroken post-migration.
• Hands-On Migration & Data Verification ● Execute manual tests to compare application outputs from the legacy Oracle backend against the new PostgreSQL backend. ● Write and run intermediate SQL queries independently to verify data accuracy, table structures, and record counts across both databases.

● Provide clear, reproducible steps and exact SQL query outputs to help C++/.NET developers and DBAs diagnose and fix migration issues. ● Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to participate in defect triage meetings and prioritize critical migration fixes. Role Requirements Technical Skills & Experience ● Experience 3+ years of experience in professional software Quality Assurance with a heavy focus on backend or database-driven testing. ● Strong SQL Skills Intermediate to advanced ability to write SQL queries (Joins, Aggregations, Subqueries) to manually verify data across tables. ● Database Familiarity Conceptual understanding of relational databases (RDBMS); exposure to both Oracle and PostgreSQL environments is a massive advantage. ● Migration Testing Prior experience testing database migrations, data warehousing (ETL) pipelines, or major platform updates is highly preferred.
