Role Description
The Junior Project Manager supports the delivery of FPC Global’s Digital Building consultancy services and systems integration projects by assisting senior Project Managers and the Delivery Operations Performance team.
This role focuses on coordinating project activities, tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and supporting communication between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. The Junior Project Manager will gain hands-on experience in project delivery, develop technical and commercial skills, and contribute to operational efficiency while working under the guidance of senior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Support
Assist in managing project schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure milestones are met.
Support the preparation, distribution, and tracking of project documentation, reports, and client updates.
Monitor risks, issues, and changes, escalating them to the Project Manager when necessary.
Team Support
Coordinate with consultants, technical specialists, and contractors to ensure tasks are delivered on time.
Help organise and document team meetings, action items, and follow-ups.
Support management of resource tracking & analysis
Contribute to the improvement of project delivery processes and templates.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
Support the Project Manager in liaising with clients, attending meetings, and preparing presentations.
Maintain clear, professional communication with stakeholders under the direction of senior colleagues.
Operational & Process Assistance
Assist with governance reporting, lessons learned sessions, and process improvement initiatives.
Help prepare technical documentation, commissioning checklists, and handover packages.
Commercial Awareness
Support budget tracking and reporting activities.
Assist with proposals, estimates, and identifying additional service opportunities within active projects.
Skills and Experience
Essential
1–2 years’ experience in project coordination, administration, or an entry-level project management role, ideally in IoT, Digital Buildings.
Basic understanding of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace applications.
Desirable
Exposure to construction, systems integration, or smart technology projects.
Awareness of RIBA Stages of Work, AIA Stages, or equivalent frameworks.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS) and/or data tools.
Interest in pursuing formal project management qualifications (PMI, APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
