Job description
- Responsible for the sales target achievement in assigned region of SEA (Markets Indonesia and Malaysia) for Product group Food (Food Horizontal and Vertical)
- Managing the project pipeline within assigned region and finding winning proposals together with the Syntegon Food Site Sales
- Evaluation and clarification of customer needs and requirements, presentation of complex technical solutions
- Responsible for the customer relationship management & represents the brand “Syntegon” in assigned region
- Responsibility for market and customer development for Syntegon Food portfolio in assigned markets
- Regular in-person visits at customer sites, maintaining existing customer relationships and developing new potential customers in Indonesia and Malaysia
- Coordination and follow-up on project bidding, process negotiations, contract implementation, recovery of payments and other sales related topics in coordination with overseas production sites
- Participation in industry-related exhibitions, collection of market information and joint works with regional sales team to develop regional sales and marketing strategies
- Regular reporting of market situation to superiors
- Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or of other technical/commercial degree, MBA is preferred additional skill
- 5 years of CAPEX sales experience in Packaging or Process Equipment industry or special machines industry, preferably in Food or adjoining business areas
- Excellent English communication- for Speaking and Writing in English, other language skills advantageous (esp. English, German, Chinese or Malay).
- Initiative, strong result orientation, good communication skills
- Must stay hungry and have a hunter mindset
- Good understanding of customer needs, able to understand and analyze customer needs, can effectively manage customer expectations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to converse well in Bahasa and English (for Indonesia Market)
- Customer service oriented mindset.
- Ability to work in a multinational team
- Willingness and ability for regular travel inside and outside of Singapore and Malaysia (for trainings, customer visits at local production plants/local and overseas trade related events)
