RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of senior leadership in healthcare and/or behavioral healthcare business operations, including multi-site responsibility.
  • A history of Progressive responsibility is required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral along with great attention to detail relating to documentation, deadlines, and other deliverables.
  • Must be able to obtain ACT 33/34/73 clearances at hire

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Vice President of Behavioral Health has primary responsibility for Program Development, Evaluation, and Implementation of all Behavioral Health Programs and Services at Pittsburgh Mercy Health System. These services include MH Residential Services, Adult and Child Psychiatric Outpatient Services, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, Adult and Child Partial Hospitalization Programs, and the Crisis Center. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is expected to operate with considerable independence, as well as be an active member of the Executive Leadership Team.

The VP is responsible for

  • Compliance with all Federal, State, and County regulations and guidelines
  • Budget preparation and control
  • Leadership and supervision of designated staff as well as their assigned subordinates
