Summary: This position is responsible for providing a positive warm welcomes and fond farewells to all who present at any public entrance of a hospital campus, CHST and other identified entrances. This position is also responsible for the badging, infection prevention screening and verification of appropriate campus access. This position is responsible for ensuring CHST employees have completed a health screening process as they enter a CHST facility to begin their shift. Concierge will present a positive public image via coordination of hospital systems and patient information to families.

Responsibilities

  • Greet each person, regardless of visit reason, in a friendly, welcoming tone that provides an excellent impression of the organization. This includes helping visitors in high stress situations, understand process for identifying visitors with special accommodations and remaining calm and professional throughout interaction and making proper referrals to other departments to meet customer needs.
  • Identify any regulatory or accreditation visitors that arrive on campus. Alert Accreditation and Regulatory Readiness chain of command immediately about visitors and ensure the visitors are escorted properly.
  • Assist each visitor through the badging and screening process. This includes registering visitor in Fast Pass, navigating the badging software system, asking infectious disease screening questions, recognizing frequent visitors and problem-solving issues as they arise, providing directions for navigating the wayfinding system.
  • Partner with security to identify and properly address visitors who are registered sex offenders, BOLO (Be on the lookout) guests, alert security on visitors who arrive who have been issued Criminal Trespass citations and follow directives.
  • Serve as an on-site screener to ensure all workers (employees, contractors, consultants, non-employees and all others needing to perform a function for CHST, excluding patients and their guardians and or families) have completed a health screen before reporting to their department and or starting their shift. Distribute screening stickers and masks to the workers once proof of a valid screen is shown

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least 2 years job related experience preferred
  • At least 2 years face to face customer service/customer relations or hospitality background preferred

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
