We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and patient-focused individual to join our team in a role that works collaboratively between our Billing Department and Front Office Team .
This position will function interdepartmentally with supervision from the Billing Manager and plays a key role in ensuring new patients receive exceptional service from their first interaction with our practice.
Position Summary
The New Patient Registration Coordinator / Patient Access Representative is responsible for supporting new patient onboarding, appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and front office support. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with new patients by phone in a professional and compassionate manner
- Register and schedule new patient appointments
- Guide patients through the registration and onboarding process
- Review, update, and verify demographic and insurance information for accuracy
- Manage incoming calls using a multi-line phone system and call queue
- Assist with pre-registration processes and ensure accurate data entry
- Audit patient accounts for accuracy of demographics and insurance coverage
- Maintain confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide backup support to front office operations as needed
- Collaborate across departments to support efficient patient access and workflow
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Medical office or healthcare experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and software programs efficiently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday – Friday
- Office hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- No evenings or weekends
Location
Primary location will be our Bedford office , with occasional travel to Derry, Londonderry, or Windham offices as needed.
Compensation
Starting at $18.00 per hour , with compensation varying based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
