We are currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our clinical team at a premier senior living and retirement community in the Houston area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of physical conditions, including mobility, strength, balance, and flexibility, to establish effective baselines.
  • Treatment & Implementation: Provide high-quality therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and customized interventions designed to alleviate pain, improve functionality, and maximize patient independence.
  • Patient & Family Education: Educate residents, families, and caregivers on safe body mechanics, posture, and home exercise routines to aid recovery and prevent future injuries.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records (EMR) of evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans in strict compliance with legal, ethical, and state standards.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Actively collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and facility staff to ensure cohesive, holistic patient care.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Licensure: Valid Texas state licensure as a Physical Therapist (or currently license-eligible).
  • Clinical Skills: Strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning skills tailored to the geriatric/senior population.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and patient-centered communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed; ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks inherent to therapy services.
