Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will join a growing DevOps team and take full ownership of cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and internal developer platform capabilities. You will architect scalable and secure systems on Azure and Kubernetes, lead the GitOps strategy with ArgoCD, and own the full observability stack across the platform.

This is a senior role with high ownership expectations. You will lead IaC strategy with OpenTofu, define SLOs, build runbooks, manage on-call processes, and design self-service workflows that enable product team autonomy. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior engineers and lead cross-training programs across DevOps, IT Support, and product engineering.

Responsibilities

• Architect advanced CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, including GitOps promotion workflows
• Design and manage Azure infrastructure with scalability, security, and compliance in mind
• Lead AKS cluster lifecycle management and Kubernetes component ownership
• Drive IaC strategy with OpenTofu including infrastructure abstraction layers and Crossplane for self-service provisioning
• Own observability strategy: Prometheus, Grafana, Tempo, Pyroscope; SLO definition, alerting design, and distributed tracing
• Lead operational readiness: build runbooks, dashboards, manage post-mortems, implement and refine on-call processes (JSM, PagerDuty)
• Design and build internal developer platform capabilities: self-service workflows, golden paths, and reusable templates
• Lead cross-training programs across DevOps, IT Support, and product engineering teams
• Mentor junior engineers and champion adoption of AI-assisted development tools across the team
• C1 English or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure.
• Strong experience managing Kubernetes environments, ideally AKS.
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and/or ArgoCD.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, scalability, and reliability.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Scripting experience with Bash and/or Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset. Experience with GitOps practices.
• Experience contributing to internal developer platforms or self-service engineering tools.
• Experience working in high-growth or scaling technology environments.
• Previous experience working with international or U.S.-based teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers or helping teams improve DevOps practices.
