Automotive Technician

Are you a Level 1 or Level 2 technician looking for a clear path to becoming a Master Mechanic?

This position balances high-volume Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) with hands-on, paid mentorship. When you aren't prepping brand-new Kias or quality pre-owned vehicles for our customers, you will be paired directly with a Journeyman Technician, earning while you learn.

Job Title: Automotive Technician
Location: Niles, IL
Pay: $20.50 - $22.50 per hour
Schedule: Full Time; Monday-Saturday (Sundays and one weekday off)

Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive multi-point safety and functional inspections on new Kia inventory and pre-owned vehicles.
• Verify mechanical, electrical, and Kia infotainment systems work perfectly before customer delivery.
• Conduct test drives to ensure proper alignment, braking, and handling.
• Assist Journeyman Technicians with complex engine, transmission, and advanced electrical diagnostics.
• Complete digital training modules and apply new skills under direct supervision.
• Keep your dedicated bay and shared shop areas clean and organized

• 2 years of experience in an automotive shop or dealership environment
• Must have your own tools
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (3 year min) 
• Automotive trade school degree or current ASE certifications are a major plus
