We're building a modern Performance & Planning function that delivers deeper insights and better decision making across the Co-op. Te Tūranga – About the role We’re looking for two commercially focused Senior Financial Analysts to help drive product, category and store performance across our retail network. This is a hands-on commercial finance role where you’ll partner closely with Merchandising, Category and Operations teams to deliver actionable insights that influence pricing, promotions and product strategy. What you’ll be doing Drive insight across category, product and store performance (sales, margin, promotions, mix) Partner with Merchandising & Category teams to influence commercial decisions Identify profit drivers, risks and opportunities across retail performance Support forecasting, planning and scenario modelling at category level Deliver clear, actionable insights — not just reporting Help modernise Finance through data, dashboards, automation and AI He kōrero mōu – About you A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting) Previous experience in retail, FMCG or Category commercial finance roles within a large corporate environment Strong understanding of product, category and store performance drivers Strong systems knowledge in Excel, SAP, TM1, and Power BI Proven ability to translate data into commercial recommendations Ngā painga - What we offer We’re committed to providing awesome experiences for our people, including offering a range of benefits Free carparking - we’ve got over 1,000 carparks including EV plugs Southern cross health insurance Onsite café with subsidised meals, mini mart, 5% discount at our retail stores Flexible working options, a day off on your birthday, long service leave Inhouse learning and development programmes and courses, flu vaccinations, and social network groups (we call them Tribes).
