Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Design Support: Assist in preparing concept designs for mechanical sub-systems, focusing on reliability, robustness, and mission-critical performance.
3D Modeling & Drafting: Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings for mechanical components including plastic injection molded parts, die castings, and sheet metal.
Bill of Materials (BOM): Set up and maintain accurate BOMs and release mechanical prints through our PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
Prototyping & Pilot Builds: Provide on-site support for prototype assembly and pilot production runs to identify design improvements.
Testing & Validation: Perform mechanical verification tests (suc

Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in generating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings. Experience with PTC Creo or Solidworks is a significant advantage.
A basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, metal stamping, and PCBA assembly.
Communication: Ability to clearly present conceptual ideas and technical data to the broader engineering team.
Simulation: Familiar with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural or heat transfer applications (academic projects are acceptable).
Standards: Familiarity with IP (Ingress Protection) sealing standards for water and dust resistance.
Methodology: Good understanding of Six Sigma principles or basic tolerance stack-up analysis.
Materials: Knowledge of material properties for engineering plastics and die-cast metals.
