A DAY IN THE LIFE:
The IT Logistics Analyst supports IT onboarding, offboarding, and device lifecycle activities by preparing equipment, tracking assets, and assisting with logistics and basic technical tasks. This role helps ensure employees receive and return equipment in a timely manner while maintaining accurate inventory records and following established processes and procedures. The position focuses on routine operational support in a high-volume IT environment and works under guidance to complete assigned tasks.The IT Logistics Analyst at Tandem is also responsible for:
- Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding activities, including device preparation, account setup support, equipment distribution, device return, asset recovery, and deprovisioning coordination.
- Work with HR and IT teams to support timely and accurate employee lifecycle transitions.
- Perform computer imaging, configuration, and deployment for new hires, rehires, and device refresh cycles, including preparing and distributing replacement equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Perform basic hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics for break/fix issues and escalate or coordinate repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, asset status, location tracking, and device lifecycle activity from procurement through deployment, return, or disposal.
- Provide frontline support for device-related issues and routine device lifecycle questions, including walk-up or remote coordination, and escalate more complex issues as needed.
- Process returned equipment and prepare devices for reuse, redeployment, or disposal
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of IT equipment for onsite and remote employees.
- Ensure equipment is properly staged, stored, and organized in inventory areas.
- Support internal teams and vendors with device procurement, repairs, and returns.
- Complete assigned onboarding, refresh, and support tasks within established service expectations.
- Identify and share routine process issues or improvement ideas with the team or manager.
- Assist with audit, compliance, and reporting activities related to asset management.
- Ensure a high-quality employee experience through timely service and clear communication.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:
This role will be a mix of in-office work at our corporate headquarters in Del Mar, CA and remote work. This position is expected to be in office 3-4 days per week but may vary depending on business demands.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Less than 1 year of experience in IT support, logistics, asset management, or related field
- High School Diploma, required
- Strong organizational and logistics coordination skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong asset tracking and documentation discipline
- Basic knowledge of endpoint management, imaging, and hardware support
- Ability to troubleshoot and triage technical hardware issues
Minimum certifications/educational level:
- Experience with device provisioning, shipping/receiving, or technical support preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, preferred
SCOPE:
- Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete tasks.
- Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment.
- Normally receives detailed instructions and works under close supervision.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus and a robust benefits package.
