Senior Staffing and Compliance Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for safety and quality minded Senior Manager (Level L) to lead Staffing & Compliance on the 777 Team in Everett, Washington.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Leader of our 777 Staffing and Compliance Team. This leader will manage employees and first-level managers performing advanced technical knowledge and leadership to manufacturing projects to resolve production concerns. Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires program resources for department activities and future demand, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Manages, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers. This role represents a unique opportunity to influence and shape a high-impact continuous improvement agenda within the program’s staffing and compliance teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing advanced technical knowledge and leadership to ensure adequate staffing for 777/777X Production System.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with Skill Teams, Industrial Engineering, customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops, coaches, and motivates employees and first-level managers.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality work, on time and within budget
  • Establish compliance controls, monitoring processes, and reporting mechanisms
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
  • Own and drive improvement to PASA standards through integration with the greater cross functional operations team.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to work any shift including weekends and overtime
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives and projects to meet business objectives and influence change.
  • 5+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in BPS (Boeing Production Systems) and/or QMS (Quality Management Systems)
  • 3+ years of experience in coaching, guiding and mentoring teams
  • 3+ years of experience in working to lead and develop teams to execute to safety, compliance, quality and cost
  • Familiarity with BCA compliance management systems and reporting tools
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

Shift:

This role is primarily 1st shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.
