Fraud Investigator £45,750 - £49,056 per annum

The Fraud Team are responsible for investigating allegations of fraud involving council services, including housing, tenancy, and Right to Buy applications. The role involves gathering and analysing evidence, conducting interviews and visits, and working with partner agencies to detect and prevent fraud, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation such as the Fraud Act 2006 and the Prevention of Social Housing Fraud Act 2013. Investigators are required to maintain accurate case records and prepare files for potential legal action. Candidates must hold the Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS) qualification and demonstrate strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage complex cases effectively.
