Job description
Key Accountabilities:
- To supervise and develop the staff in handling customs brokerage service professionally and in timely manner.
- To ensure and educate staff for strictly following our company’s policies, procedures and concernments. This is including Customs Department’s regulations in handling the shipment and customs formalities.
- To monitor and control a current and accurate procedures manual that details the processing requirements for each entry.
- To ensure team is completing customs declaration to Customs Department completely and accuracy.
- To monitor and evaluate E-Paperless system whether it is well maintain as per the Customs Department’s requirements.
- To monitor and track the performance of customs clearance to meet company working procedures standard, KPIs and customer requirements.
- To co-ordinate with pricing, sale and account management teams for relevant aspects in order to promote, bidding, transitioning and any rate inquiries. This is including with reviewing and ensuring our price is competitive and accurate to the market.
- To keep all concerned updated on any news from Customs Department or any relevant parties.
- To monitor the subcontractor or service providers’ performances and ensure that their performances are met the company standard and customers’ requirements.
- To deal with customers on any issues regarding customer formalities and clearance as well as to ensure team are able to answer phone calls with relevant information.
- After receiving any complaints, making sure team is delivering the effective solution to customer as well as finding the opportunity to improve performance.
- To be flexible on taking additional assignments to support Company need.
- University graduate in any field with at least 2 years experience in supervisory level and 5 years solid experience in customs brokerage of air or sea freight logistics. Well-versed in Customs E-Paperless system
- Knowledge of customs formalities/clearance, cargo handling process and customs regulations.
- Can operate E-Paperless system.
- Computer literacy and good Thai & English Typing Skills
- Good communication in English.
- Possess good coordination skills, problem solving skills, negotiation skills and high accuracy.
- Display ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Certified Customs Specialist and/or Licensed Customs Broker is preferable.
