Job description
Your role
At Allens, our business teams are also specialists in their field, using their unique knowledge and expertise to solve critical client and business challenges.
You'll be a part of our Brand, Marketing and Communications team, which plays an important role in shaping how Allens shows up in the market, with our clients and across our broader communities. The team works with people across the firm to deliver clear, compelling and high-quality communications that support our brand, reputation and client engagement.
As a Senior Content Specialist in our Brand, Marketing and Communications team you will:
Support the development and delivery of high-quality written and spoken content, including flagship thought leadership, speeches, profiles and other market-facing communications.
Act as a centre of excellence for content execution, providing coaching, guidance and practical support to help colleagues and stakeholders shape ideas into clear, compelling outputs.
Act as a key 'translation layer' between marketing and brand strategy and execution, advising on the best formats, channels and approaches to bring stories to life.
Own proofing, editing and quality control processes to ensure market-facing content is accurate, consistent, clear and aligned with Allens' brand voice.
Build and systemise in-house rich media capability, including video and audio formats, workflows and quality standards.
Lead end-to-end video content development (storyboarding, production, editing and delivery) either hands-on or through agency partners.
Work directly with colleagues and stakeholders to translate strategy, messaging and complex ideas into polished content across a range of channels and formats.
Explore and apply AI-enabled tools to support content production and editing, improving consistency and efficiency while maintaining appropriate oversight and judgement.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.
About you
You will have:
Significant experience in content, communications, editorial or marketing roles, ideally gained in a professional services, corporate or similarly complex environment.
Exceptional writing, editing and proofing skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and channels.
Strong editorial judgement, including the ability to identify reputational, messaging or quality risks in market-facing content.
Experience working with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to shape complex ideas into clear, compelling content.
Strong creative execution capability; including the ability to conceptualise how stories come to life across formats, particularly video.
An interest in rich media, including video and audio content, and the ability to develop practical processes, standards and ways of working.
Experience with video production tools and platforms (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro) or strong working knowledge.
Experience working with external creative or production agencies.
A curious and practical approach to using technology and AI-enabled tools to improve content workflows, quality and consistency.
A desire to learn, grow, network and mentor others.
