I. Position Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):
Sell available varieties of Insurance and memberships that the Auto Club Group (ACG) offers. Duties may include:
- Rate insurances as requested by customer.
- Accurately process new insurance policies and memberships.
- Attend training classes to keep updated on new coverage and products
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with client, insurance company personnel and agency employees.
- Document client contact and activities in Insurance management system
- Develop and maintain client prospect file.
- Promptly follow up on all leads and requests.
- Meet or exceed minimum quarterly sales requirements
- Abide by ACG rules and regulations as set forth in the Employee Handbook and follow Insurance Department Processing and Procedures Manuals.

II. Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)
Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
- Current Life Insurance Sales license
- Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products.
- Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable as deemed necessary and within a time frame established by the Business Unit
Experience:
- Customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer automated business environment
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge and ability to rate all lines of insurance sold by ACG.
- Knowledge of AAA membership types, products, and services.
- Ability to interpret and understand terms and language relating to various types of insurance.
- Ability to learn and operate insurance software functions and applications.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with others

Spends a varying amount of time in off-site locations, in order to solicit and sell products and attend meetings, with exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes. Willingness and ability to work irregular hours – including evenings and weekends. Works in a temperature-controlled branch location when not at off-site locations.
