Job description

As a family-run, high-tech company with nearly 19,000 employees at 71 locations worldwide, we are looking for forward thinkers with unconventional ideas and drive to join our team. Our company culture, which values collaboration and mutual trust, creates the ideal framework for boldly trying new things and questioning the status quo. Our technologies inspire people to develop and produce things that are currently unimaginable. Whether lasers, machine tools, EUV or electronics - TRUMPF is building technological worlds for future generations. Are you ready for new challenges?

In cooperation with partner ASML and Carl Zeiss, TRUMPF produces an EUV exposure system for the semiconductor industry. This EUV lithography was awarded the German Future Prize in 2020. This technology enables the production of the latest 2 nanometer computer chip generation. TRUMPF supplies the technically very complex high-power laser source, which is operated and accepted on-site at the customer’s facility.

For exciting insight about EUV lithography, visit our website.

Your new role

  • You develop, deploy and continuously improve cloud-based data pipelines spanning the entire product lifecycle of our high-power CO2 laser systems for EUV Lithography

  • In cross-functional collaboration with experts from R&D, production and service, you co-create data-driven solutions such as condition monitoring and predictive maintenance applications

  • Working in close exchange with data analysts and EUV domain specialists, you transform analytical algorithms into scalable cloud applications capable of handling large volumes of machine and signal data (e.g. time series, logs, error messages) transmitted from laser systems worldwide

  • Your contribution to our cloud-based data infrastructure includes working alongside data architects, internal IT teams, customers and suppliers to build and maintain robust, future-proof solutions

Your profile

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science or a comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field

  • Solid programming skills in Python, SQL and PySpark, combined with strong software engineering skills including CI/CD and Got workflows

  • An analytical, flexible, self-driven and solution-oriented working style paired with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset that thrives in diverse, international teams

  • Business-fluent English and at least B2-level German; a higher proficiency in German is an advantage

  • Ideally, hands-on experience with Azure data engineering technologies such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Synapse or Terraform; prior exposure to this stack is a plus, not a prerequisite

What we offer

  • A respectful work environment in a family-owned company where diversity and equal opportunity are core values

  • An innovative workplace with state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge technology that fosters efficiency and creativity

  • Early responsibility and varied projects with real impact

  • Flexible working hours and the option to work remotely, so you can balance your professional and personal commitments with ease

  • A wide range of fitness and sports programs to help you stay active and connect with colleagues

This position is limited to 2 years.
