Job description
Lansweeper is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to step in on a freelance or consultancy basis for an interim assignment of 3 to 6 months. You will take full ownership of the financial close, compliance and reporting — acting as the VP Finance's trusted right hand while we scale. No ramp-up time, no hand-holding. You hit the ground running from day one.
Role details
•
Duration: 3–6 months
•
Contract: Freelance / Consultancy
•
Start: As soon as possible Location: Merelbeke, Belgium
•
Working model: Hybrid — 2 to 3 days per week on-site
•
Reports to: VP Finance Language: English required
What you'll step into
Lansweeper is a fast-growing, PE-backed B2B SaaS platform on a €100M → €500M ARR journey. The Finance function is scaling with it, and we need a senior interim profile to hold the fort and drive quality across all financial operations during this period.
•
You work closely with the VP Finance and alongside the Finance Process Manager, who handles daily operations and systems.
•
Your remit covers financial close quality, IFRS and Belgian GAAP reporting, multi-jurisdictional tax compliance, audit management, and team leadership — all active, all yours for the duration of the engagement.
•
This is not an advisory role. We need someone who takes ownership, makes sound technical judgements independently, and ensures nothing drifts while the permanent structure is confirmed.
What you'll own during the engagement
•
Financial close & reporting: You lead the monthly close — reviewing journals, signing off on reconciliations, and ensuring quality across all entities. You ensure Belgian GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements are met and act as escalation point for complex accounting judgements. You collaborate with FP&A to ensure accounting actuals feed seamlessly into planning and board reporting.
•
Tax & transfer pricing: You own global tax compliance across all jurisdictions — current, documented and risk-managed. You manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany arrangements, oversee VAT compliance including OSS/IOSS filings, and coordinate with external advisors on US SALT obligations and any tax optimization opportunities.
•
Audit & risk management: You serve as single point of contact for external audits — owning the planning, documentation and resolution of findings. You maintain year-round audit readiness and ensure financial packs meet PE investor-grade standards.
•
Team & statutory reporting You lead and support the accounting team for the duration of the assignment, ensuring continuity, quality and knowledge transfer. You oversee multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation and ensure statutory reporting obligations are met across all jurisdictions.
