Job description

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Product Merchandising Lead, you play a key role in driving strong commercial execution and stock optimization across Sales Markets. In collaboration with the Sales Market Commercial teams, Inventory Optimization Leads, and warehouses, you will leverage your analytical and merchandising expertise to ensure that stock levels, allocation, and pricing alignment meet business goals. Your focus will be on securing transparency, consistency, and sharing best practices across markets to maximize sales and profit.

Your main responsibilities:

Product Merchandising and Commercial Support

  •  Act as the primary contact point and partner up with Sales Market Commercial teams on stock and inventory topics to facilitate strong commercial execution.
  • Drive transparency, consistency, and secure the sharing of best practices across Sales Markets regarding product merchandising and commercial execution.
  • Challenge Sales Markets’ bottom-up demand plans from a stock-level perspective when required or upon request.
  • Support Sales Markets in setting and adjusting price maps to accurately reflect local competition and stock positions.
  • Responsible for forecasting supply in relation to demand, proactively sharing insights and corrective measures with stakeholders.
  • Decide and provide Sales Markets with articles for final sale/clearance, as well as tailoring special campaigns per channel.
  • Decide and provide markdowns (pricing) and other inventory management measures to Sales Markets, collaborating closely with Inventory Optimization Leads to analyze deviations in sell-through.
  • Follow up and forecast R&D (Returns & Defectives / Reductions) for Sales Markets.
  • Capture key learnings from exit and liquidation cycles to inform and improve future pre-season planning and buying quantifications.

Allocation and Replenishment

  • Act as the key point of contact for assigned Sales Markets and warehouses on all allocation, replenishment, and stock management topics.
  • Follow up on stock at the Sales Market level and review stock-balancing scenarios within a Planning Market based on data analyses.
  • Responsible for the initial allocation from warehouses to stores in line with Sales Market plans (utilizing target-state tools like AB2.0).
  • Responsible for adjustments to replenishment speed, including setting replenishment blocks or stops for seasonal stock and predictable demand.
  • Set backstock lists for articles that need to be removed from the shopfloor or pick locations to maintain commercial standards.
  • Create full transparency on incoming deliveries and stock status for Sales Market Commercial teams and Store Managers through regular, detailed stock update reports.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people with…

  • Relevant education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.

  • Commercial expertise: Solid understanding of retail dynamics and product merchandising processes.
  • Analytical capabilities: Strong ability to interpret sell-through and stock reports to identify risks and improvement areas.
  • Tool proficiency: High command of Excel and a strong interest/skill in BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Attention to detail: Highly detail-oriented mindset that ensures top-tier data accuracy in article tracking and reporting.

And people who are…

  • Excellent communicators, both written and verbal, capable of collaborating across Markets and Continent teams.
  • Driven to create alignment and bridge communication between commercial teams, warehouses, and inventory leaders.
  • Solution-oriented and proactive when challenging demand plans or identifying corrective measures for supply and demand imbalances.
  • Comfortable adopting new technologies, systems, and automated allocation tools (like AB2.0).
  • Confident using data-driven insights to make strategic pricing, markdown, and liquidation decisions.
