In this pivotal role, you will oversee the successful delivery of Proforest’s Responsible Sourcing and Production portfolio, working on projects driving meaningful change across the sector, whilst inspiring and supporting a high-performing team. In collaboration with the SEA Director and other senior managers, you will also lead the development and implementation of portfolio.
In this role, you will:
Lead and grow Proforest’s Responsible Sourcing & Production portfolio across Southeast Asia
Deliver high-impact projects with companies, financial institutions and other partners to advance sustainable supply chains and responsible finance
Oversee portfolio planning, team resourcing, budgets and delivery quality
Build strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, donors and strategic partners
Drive innovation in Proforest’s services, approaches and thought leadership
Monitor sustainability, policy and market developments to identify emerging opportunities and risks
Represent Proforest at regional and international events, forums and industry initiatives
Support business development, partnerships and organisational strategy
Lead, coach and develop a collaborative, high-performing team
You are a strategic and motivated leader with experience in sustainable supply chains, agriculture, forestry and/or responsible finance. You bring strong commercial awareness, excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for creating positive impact for people, nature and climate.
You will likely have:
Track record of delivering consultancy, sustainability or supply chain initiatives with strong technical competence in agricultural and forestry commodities supply chains
Knowledge of financing and investment for agriculture/forestry commodities, including familiarity with financial instruments and institutions.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the drive and energy to deliver impact
Strong management experience including portfolio management, project management and people leadership
Established professional network and stakeholder relationships in the private sector
Excellent written and spoken English
Willingness to travel for training, field work, stakeholder engagement and meetings
It would also be an advantage if you have:
Experience in improvement of supply chain and/or financing for sustainable agriculture/forestry
Practical field experience relevant to agriculture, forestry or landscape programmes
Additional language skills such as Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin or Thai.
