Job description
We are seeking an experienced Category Manager Packaging EMEA to lead our regional packaging strategy across multiple product lines. In this role, you will own the full category lifecycle—from supplier selection and cost optimization to innovation and sustainability initiatives.
- Define, lead and drive the category Packaging to ensure the success of the category in alignment with business and sustainability goals
- Own regional category roadmaps covering cost, supply security, innovation, risk, and sustainability levers
- Drive the category team in the region to achieve required performance and focus on the effective application of the Sika sourcing methodology
- Regional supplier management (internal RFI, negotiations, awarding, contracting and volumes allocations) and cross regions coordination when relevant
- Screening of alternative suppliers / raw materials & onboarding in alignment with Sika processes
- Drive Sika sustainability targets with suppliers
- Define and communicate budget & targets to region / areas
- Create and track strategic Procurement targets by measuring KPI`s
- Identify and facilitate saving projects, ensures supply of materials for all facilities served by the category
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging category management or procurement
- Strong negotiation and supplier‑management skills
- Experience in manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of sustainability standards and packaging materials
- Excellent analytical and project‑management capabilities
- Fluent English. German is an advantage
