Job description

Learning Commons aims to scale proven teaching and learning practices to benefit every learner by building AI infrastructure that better connects the way students learn to the tools they learn with.

The Team

At Learning Commons, we operate at the intersection of technology, research, and philanthropy. We pair product development with grantmaking to scale proven teaching and learning practices for the benefit of every learner. We aim to bring learning science into the tools educators and students use every day.

Our work is grounded in a deep belief: when technology reflects the realities of classrooms and the science of how students learn, it can meaningfully strengthen teaching and unlock new possibilities for students. The rise of generative AI offers us a once-in-a-generation opportunity to dramatically accelerate the translation of research insights into practical, classroom-ready tools that honor teachers' expertise, adapt to students' needs, and make effective learning practices easier to access, implement, and sustain.

In today's fragmented edtech landscape, school districts are often left piecing together products that don't always align with curricula or instructional needs. That's why we build open, public-purpose infrastructure that helps raise the standard for educational tools and creates more consistent, impactful learning experiences for all students and teachers.

The Partnerships Team sits at the center of this work, connecting Learning Commons' infrastructure to the edtech companies and developers building the next generation of classroom tools. We're growing this team to deepen how we serve our partner ecosystem.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Partnerships Analyst to join our Partnerships Team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a defined portfolio of edtech companies and developers–owning the partner relationship from initial onboarding through long-term success. You will help partners unlock the full value of Learning Commons' infrastructure, including our Knowledge Graph and Evaluators while acting as a critical bridge between our partners and internal teams.

This is a relationship-centered, mission-driven role for someone energized by helping partners succeed and who can translate what they hear in the field into insights that strengthen our product and operations. You will also support the onboarding of net new partners post-agreement and contribute to building the scalable processes that will define how Learning Commons works with its growing partner network.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for a defined portfolio of edtech partners, proactively managing relationships and ensuring partner health.
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding experience for new edtech partners following agreement and contracting, ensuring smooth technical and relational ramp-up with clear milestones and timelines.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews to assess partner progress, surface challenges, and identify opportunities to deepen engagement with Learning Commons' infrastructure.
  • Monitor partner usage and integration health; flag risks early and develop action plans to address them in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
  • Act as the voice of the partner internally by synthesizing and escalating product feedback, feature requests, and integration challenges to relevant teams.
  • Gather and analyze partner stakeholder requirements to inform the design of new processes and solutions that better serve the partner ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with the partnerships team on reporting, partner pipeline tracking, and account planning to support a clear picture of portfolio health.
  • Contribute to the development of playbooks, templates, and tooling that improve consistency and efficiency across the partner lifecycle.
  • Support the development of case studies, partner spotlights, and other materials that showcase the impact of Learning Commons' partner ecosystem.
  • Drive operational excellence that supports cross-functional partners and ensures the smooth running of regular business rhythms — catching unanticipated issues and seeing them through to resolution.

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, partner success, customer success, or a related client-facing role, ideally in edtech, SaaS, or developer-focused platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously with a high level of organization, responsiveness, and follow-through across all partner journey phases from early onboarding through mature relationship management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical (developer) and non-technical audiences clearly and credibly.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and partner tracking workflows.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to assess partner health, inform strategy, and communicate impact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with experience identifying friction in partnership workflows and applying AI-enabled solutions — whether templates, automation, or smarter tooling — to reduce manual lift and improve consistency across the partner journey.
  • Comfort working in an early-stage or growing organization where processes are still being built and your input shapes how things work.
  • Genuine interest in education, learning science, or the edtech ecosystem and a belief in the potential of well-designed technology to benefit teachers and students.
  • Experience working with developers or technical partners, including familiarity with APIs, integrations, or data products. (Nice to have)
  • Background in or exposure to the K–12 or higher education space. (Nice to have)
  • Experience building or improving onboarding and account management processes from scratch. (Nice to have)
  • The role will require some travel (10-15% time)
