Job description

Notable is the leading healthcare AI platform for transforming workforce productivity. Health systems, hospitals, and payers use Notable to improve healthcare quality, close gaps in patient care, drive member enrollment, and patient acquisition, retention, and reimbursement, scaling growth without hiring more staff.

We are on a mission to improve the lives of patients, staff, and clinicians - to improve healthcare for humanity. This isn't just a lofty goal - it's something we're achieving every single day. When you join Notable, you become part of a force actively transforming healthcare. Our aim to impact 100 million patients isn't just a number; it's a commitment to creating meaningful change on a massive scale.

Therefore, our culture is purposeful in pursuit of this mission. We believe our culture gives each person the opportunity to do the best work of their lives, work with the best teammates, and have fun achieving great things together.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT DESIGN TEAM

High agency, high transparency, richly informed.

We're a small design team that reports to the Head of Product Design, who reports to the Chief Product Officer. Each designer is embedded in a cross-functional pod, working closely with Product and Engineering partners. We work at varied fidelities, adopting with intention new tools and processes that help us learn, apply judgment, communicate, and ship.

ROLE SUMMARY

The job is making AI-powered healthcare workflows buildable, operable, and trustworthy in an industry where getting it right matters. It requires someone motivated by complex systems that have real consequences and impact on human lives.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to own product design across multiple workstreams within a cross-functional pod. You'll work on a multi-persona platform, designing for:

  • Internal and external users who build healthcare workflows,
  • the operators who run them,
  • and the patients and staff who experience them.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Break down problems and articulate your reasoning as you drive from rough concepts to shipped products.

You might design how a workflow builder configures an AI-powered automation, how an operator triages failures across hundreds of running workflows, and how the patient on the other end experiences the outreach. Then figure out how a change to one surface propagates through the others. Your work may be communicated through workflow diagrams, Figma mockups, or rich design-in-code prototypes as the project merits.

  • Shape what gets built, how it's used, how it works, and how it looks
  • Partner with product and engineering to plan, sequence, validate, and iterate
  • Design across product surfaces and states
  • Communicate design decisions and tradeoffs to cross-functional partners
  • Contribute to and evolve our shared design systems, tools, and processes
  • Explore new ways of working that help the team learn faster and ship better

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Demonstrable experience making complex systems understandable and usable for the people who rely on them
  • Experience designing for enterprise SaaS and multiple organizational roles and personas with varied needs, roles, and technical/system fluency
  • Experience designing developer tools, platform products, or workflow automation
  • Technical curiosity - engages with component APIs, data models, and system constraints as design inputs
  • Moves forward through ambiguity, using judgment and evidence rather than waiting for complete briefs

NICE TO HAVE

  • Healthcare industry experience
