A Health Advocacy Manager job is available with the City of Fort Worth in the Wellness Division of Human Resources. The Health Advocacy Manager is responsible for service, strategy, and administration of wellness programs for approximately 7,500 employees. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with implementation of strategic health and wellness strategies, focused on cost and risk reduction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of health advocacy or program management experience
- Two (2) years of administrative and supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years experience in corporate wellness programming
- Experience working with multi-location employers
- Direct experience in wellness portal design, implementation, and administration
The Health Advocacy Manager job responsibilities include:
- Assists with implementation of strategic health and wellness strategies, focused on cost and risk reduction.
- Oversees and implements departmental marketing and promotional programs.
- Coordinates various classes, trainings, and events tin collaboration with city health and wellness partners.
- Serves as the staff liaison for assigned vendors and programs.
- Develops KPIs and other metrics related to program performance and risk reduction.
- Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary decisions or recommendations.
- Leads, oversees and participates in the administering and auditing of assigned programs; ensures compliance with contract/agreement requirements;
