Job description
COSMOTE Global Solutions NV is seeking a skilled Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Specialist to design, implement, and maintain virtual desktop environments that provide seamless, secure, and scalable remote desktop experiences for our users.
Responsibilities
- Defining business requirements, pre‑requisites, and detailed planning including work packages, workload estimation, validation milestones, and dependencies.
- Tests and POC in labs, documentation as High‑Level Design, Low‑Level Design, Operational Procedures, and workshops for Operations.
- Installation and configuration of infrastructure components with Operations based on tests and POC outcomes.
- Monitoring and post‑installation fixes, decommissioning of replaced systems.
- Collecting input from officials and technical teams, reporting to management, coordinating project team activities, and communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience working with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies.
- Experience with VmWare technologies (VmWare ESXi, vCenter, VmWare Horizon)
- Experience with Windows 11 and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Good understanding of network protocols and infrastructure related to desktop virtualization.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with security practices related to VDI environments.
- Experience with Citrix products (Xendesktop, Netscaler, Xenapp)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
