Job description

Our client, LT Metal Partners , is a company operating in the wholesale trade of specialized metal products within the EU and metal processing sector. The business operates within the heavy industry segment, serving manufacturers of hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic systems, hydraulic lifting machinery, and related equipment.

The client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain & Logistics Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for demand planning, inventory optimization, procurement coordination, and end-to-end logistics management across European and Asian supply chains. This role requires strong numerical skills, structured thinking, and the ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis.

Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Inventory Management

  • Analyze sales data and support demand forecasting in collaboration with the Sales team
  • Develop and maintain demand plans based on historical data and forecasts
  • Calculate purchasing requirements considering stock levels, purchase orders, and sales orders
  • Monitor deviations between planned and actual results and implement timely adjustments
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels and manage risks related to stock-outs and overstock situations

Supply Chain & Procurement Coordination

  • Coordinate the full procurement cycle from purchase order creation to goods receipt in the warehouse
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding production schedules, delivery timelines, and potential delays
  • Prepare and manage loading plans (loading lists) within the system
  • Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with suppliers
  • Support and coordinate import processes from European and Asian suppliers
  • Ensure timely collection and accuracy of all required import documentation

Logistics & Transportation Management

  • Organize and coordinate international transportation via road and sea freight
  • Communicate and cooperate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers
  • Monitor shipment execution and proactively resolve logistics-related issues
  • Collect, evaluate, and manage transport offers in order to ensure cost efficiency
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of transportation and customs documentation
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and make decisions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory)
  • Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Directo is considered an advantage
  • Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or planning is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and structured working approach
  • Ability to work effectively with incomplete or changing information
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in English for daily communication with international suppliers and partners
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Full ownership of end-to-end supply chain processes
  • Exposure to international supply chains across Europe and Asia

Salary: €2,700 - €3,700 EUR gross.
