We are looking for a highly motivated Field Sales Executive to drive merchant engagement, business growth, and transaction volume across an assigned territory. As a Field Sales Executive, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of retail merchants, ensuring consistent product adoption, and maximizing transaction volumes within your assigned geography. The role requires regular interaction with merchants, understanding their business needs, addressing concerns, and driving long-term engagement through effective relationship management.
You will act as the primary point of contact for merchants, helping them leverage digital solutions to improve their business operations and customer experience. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, commercial acumen, negotiation abilities, and a results-driven mindset. The ideal candidate is confident, self-motivated, and capable of building trust-based relationships while consistently delivering business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Merchant Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants across the assigned territory.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for merchant queries, concerns, and business requirements.
- Conduct regular merchant visits as per the planned sales schedule and maintain consistent engagement.
- Develop trust-based partnerships that drive long-term business growth and customer retention.
- Ensure high levels of merchant satisfaction through proactive support and relationship management.
Sales & Business Development
- Drive adoption and usage of business solutions among assigned merchants.
- Identify opportunities to increase transaction volumes and business penetration within existing accounts.
- Generate new business opportunities through merchant referrals, networking, and market outreach activities.
- Influence merchant decision-makers and frontline teams to maximize product utilization.
- Consistently achieve assigned sales, revenue, and transaction targets.
Account Growth & Portfolio Management
- Manage and grow a portfolio of merchants by increasing engagement and business contribution.
- Monitor merchant performance and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Support merchants in understanding product benefits, commercial advantages, and business value.
- Drive repeat business and long-term account development through regular follow-ups.
- Ensure strong portfolio health through proactive account management practices.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Insights
- Gather market feedback and customer insights from the field.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and emerging business opportunities.
- Share actionable intelligence with leadership teams to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify challenges impacting merchant adoption and recommend practical solutions.
- Stay updated on industry developments and evolving customer needs.
Target Achievement & Performance Management
- Meet or exceed assigned business, revenue, and transaction goals.
- Maintain accurate records of merchant interactions, sales activities, and business performance.
- Track key performance metrics and provide regular updates to management.
- Develop action plans to address performance gaps and improve business outcomes.
- Take ownership of territory performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 3–4 years of proven field sales experience in B2B environments.
- Strong experience working with retail merchants, general trade businesses, or channel-driven sales models.
- Background in industries such as Telecom, Banking, SaaS, Billing Solutions, or related sectors is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in customer acquisition, account management, and revenue generation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Strong spoken and written communication abilities, including professional business interactions.
- High confidence, resilience, and the ability to work independently in a target-driven environment.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
- Good commercial understanding with the ability to interpret business metrics and sales opportunities.
- Results-oriented mindset with a history of consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
