Job description
As Interim Senior Procurement Specialist, you will strengthen and professionalize the EMEA procurement function. You are responsible for driving audit remediation, improving governance, and leading daily procurement operations.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading closure of audit findings and enhancing procurement governance
- Defining and implementing procurement strategy and centralization across EMEA
- Setting up and enforcing contract management, including key supplier agreements
- Establishing pricing governance and approval processes
- Implementing supplier performance management and KPI tracking
- Finalizing and embedding Procurement SOPs, ensuring ISO 13485 compliance
- Overseeing daily procurement operations (SAP, suppliers, demand planning)
- Coaching and developing the procurement team
What you bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or similar (a Master’s is a plus)
- Solid procurement experience (8–12 years), including several years in a senior or lead role
- Proven experience in improving or transforming a procurement function — ideally in response to audits or compliance gaps
- Strong knowledge of procurement fundamentals: contracts, supplier management, pricing, and governance
- Experience in a regulated environment (e.g. medical devices or pharma) is a strong plus
You’re likely someone who:
- Knows how to bring structure without overcomplicating things
- Is comfortable in an international, matrix organization
- Has worked with audit findings and knows how to turn them into real improvements
- Can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Works easily with systems like SAP and tools such as Jira
Nice to have:
- NEVI, CIPS, CPSM or similar certification
- Experience with ISO standards (e.g. ISO 13485)
- Background in interim, consulting, or transformation roles
