Responsibilities
How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Conducts mandatory annual, semi-annual, and quarterly inspections on fire alarms, wet/dry sprinkler systems, chemical kitchen hoods, fire extinguishers, and fire/smoke dampers.
- Oversees the basic upkeep and minor repair of diverse fire suppression and alarm infrastructure while assisting other trade teams with general facility maintenance issues as they arise.
- Investigates compliance discrepancies, accompanies local and state fire inspectors on campus walks, and issues official deficiency notices to appropriate personnel for corrective action.
- Drafts and manages critical lifecycle records, including Joint Commission/NFPA-formatted inspection documents, system inventory logs, and up-to-date as-built blueprints for authorities having jurisdiction .
- Trains facility staff on proper fire drill execution, manages assigned special projects, and participates in mandatory company training to maintain active industry licenses and certifications.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent or at least five years’ experience in the field and/or applicable certification may be applied in lieu of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license. Must be able to be insured for driving company vehicles as required.
- Minimum 3 years ’ experience in fire/smoke suppression, detection and containment systems.
