ROLE OVERVIEW
The Human Resources and Payroll Associate will guarantee the efficient and accurate Human Resources Administration and Payroll for KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools, an organization with over 400 Employees. The role will report directly to the Managing Director of Staff Engagement and Talent Development. The ideal candidate possesses a keen attention to detail and the ability to lead the design and implementation of employee engagement programs that considers the employee tenure from the moment an employee begins their relationship with KPPS and throughout their career.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Administration
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Manage payroll audits, tax reporting, and year-end payroll processes (W-2s, adjustments, etc.).
- Partner with Finance to ensure payroll aligns with budget and financial reporting requirements.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain required employment records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary policy or process updates.
HR Systems & Data Management
- Manage data within HRIS and payroll systems to ensure data accuracy and effective reporting.
- Develop and maintain HR metrics and reports to support decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR and payroll systems and processes.
Employee Experience & Support
- Support the Director of Employee Engagement with employee onboarding and lifecycle processes.
- Support the Director of Employee Engagement with staff engagement and retention initiatives.
- Ensure responsive HR service for employees and leaders.

- Complete all required criminal and child abuse background checks:
- PA State Police Clearance
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- Cogent Federal Fingerprinting
- Salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience.
