Location Description
Michael Foods, Inc. located in Gaylord, Minnesota is Minnesota's Healthy Heartland! Gaylord is located in south central Minnesota about an hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. As the County Seat, Gaylord is the "Hub of Sibley County." Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg such as scrambled, patties and omelets. Responsibilities
*Shift: This is a Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm with the ability to work every other weekend. This role located in the MFI Gaylord II location.*
POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of this job is to provide a clean and healthy work environment for the rest of the employees. This job requires you to clean, sanitize and perform general upkeep of the lunchrooms, bathrooms, locker rooms, office, and surrounding areas. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the Cleaning, Sanitation and general upkeep of the lunchrooms, bathrooms, locker rooms, office, and surrounding areas.
- Responsible for trash removal.
- Operation of the sanitation equipment (i.e. floor scrubbers).
- Assisting in other areas as needed.
- Expected to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained in order to maintain SQF Level 3 certification. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
- Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
- Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
- Ensures regulatory compliance at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: ▪ No prior experience or training ▪ Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. ▪ Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. ▪ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: ▪ Thorough Knowledge of GMP’s and Sanitation Procedures. ▪ Basic mechanical skills. ▪ Thorough knowledge of chemical safety. ▪ Strong attention to detail.
The pay range for this position is $18.36 to $21.16 per hour.
