Job description

About this Role

We’re looking for two DevOps Engineer Interns to join our team for a hands-on, immersive learning experience. Instead of just watching from the sidelines, you will dive directly into real-world infrastructure evolution, focusing on automation, configuration management, and next-generation container orchestration.

As part of the infrastructure team, you’ll report directly to the Manager and work alongside senior engineers. You’ll have ownership of dedicated, sandboxed projects that directly impact our production readiness—specifically helping us pave the way for a massive OS modernization rollout and the prototyping of our next-generation, self-managed Kubernetes environments in the data center.

This is an ideal role for an aspiring systems administrator or platform engineer who wants to learn how global, hybrid-cloud infrastructure is built, maintained, and scaled from the ground up.

You Will...

  • Drive Modernization Spikes: Assist in testing and validating our core server infrastructure templates for a major operating system upgrade (Ubuntu 22 to Ubuntu 26).
  • Learn Infrastructure as Code: Work directly with configuration management tools (Chef) to audit, update, and refactor code base definitions for KVM and Kubernetes node deployments.
  • Prototype Next-Gen Tech: Actively contribute to a greenfield architecture project, helping build out and document experimental, self-managed Kubernetes sandboxes using cutting-edge operating systems like Talos or k0s.
  • Automate the Boring Stuff: Develop and maintain internal tooling, helper scripts, and CI/CD pipeline components to streamline local development and image building.
  • Collaborate and Learn: Participate in team stand-ups, technical grooming, and architecture reviews, gaining deep exposure to production troubleshooting and post-mortem methodologies.

You Have...

  • A Foundational Tech Base: Enrollment in a Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical program, or a demonstrably strong portfolio of self-taught systems administration projects.
  • Linux Familiarity: A solid grasp of the Linux command line, file system hierarchy, and basic system configuration (if you’ve built a home lab or dual-booted daily, that's a massive plus).
  • Code/Scripting Curiosity: Basic proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Go, Python, or Bash) and an eagerness to read and debug existing code.
  • Core Networking Knowledge: A conceptual understanding of basic networking protocols (how IP routing, DNS, and SSH work under the hood).
  • An Engineering Mindset: A strong desire to understand why things break, a passion for automation over manual repetition, and a lack of fear when it comes to breaking things in a sandbox environment.

Bonus Points...

  • Exposure to containerization concepts (Docker, basic Kubernetes resources) or curiosity about immutable operating systems (Talos, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Git workflows and version control.
  • Any hands-on time with public cloud providers (AWS or GCP) or local virtualization (KVM, VirtualBox).
  • Experience with configuration management or provisioning concepts (Chef, Ansible, or Terraform).

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation, our internship is fully paid: 35 PLN per hour
  • MacBook Pro and all the gear you need for work
  • Free access to a multitude of popular online courses and books sponsored by our company
  • Frequent team bonding events
  • Flexible work hours
  • Open, energetic and fan-focused, international work environment
