Responsibilities
- The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.
- Has the ability to participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality.
- Does related work, as required.
- Maintains competency in the compounding of sterile IV medications.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- High School graduate or GED.
- 2+ year’s previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs).
- Completion of sterile compounding training/competency (as required by State BOP).
- Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT). •
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
