The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
RTX is looking for a Facilities Management Site Leader (Associate Director, Facilities) position. Exciting opportunity for a highly adaptable person, able to work in high pressure situations, can multi-task and self-manage priorities throughout the day and work week.
The Facilities Management Site Lead is responsible for managing the day-to-day facilities needs for the campus. The leader role shall enable the facilities workforce to adopt and align with the oneRTX facilities management 5-year roadmap to unlock the potential and capacity of our global organization.
Responsible for leading the Facilities organizations on the East Hartford campus. This includes both the Pratt & Whitney & RTX Technology Research Center collocated in East Hartford. The role is based out of the Pratt & Whitney office. The campus model is less about operational responsibilities of the RTX Technology Research Center and more about an aligned campus approach for the services and best practices in facilities.

RTX Technology Research Cente r: 0.5M square feet under roof, 50 acres, 11 Facilities Employees, $10M operating budget
What You Will Do
- Manage a department that includes multiple teams led by managers and/or supervisors in Facilities.
- You will oversee organization wide security programs to ensure compliance with regulations, and develops critical strategic operational goals for planning, organizing and scheduling Facilities activities such as equipment reconfiguration, installation costs, etc.
- Plan, design and executes activities that are directly related to the physical creation of RTX products and the functional operation of RTX facilities.
- Contains professional and para-professional disciplines.
- Plan, design, and reconfigure equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization’s facilities.
- Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs.
- Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
- Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
- Ensure proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
- Conduct machine inventories and arranges disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required equipment. Manages facilities contractor management process.
- Owns the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and operational direction, typically for an entire region, country, product or business of considerable size and scope. or, Owns the establishment and execution of short- to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years) for the organization.
- Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Minimum of 12+ years’ leadership experience in Facilities Management experience at a large manufacturing facility and a bachelors degree in Operations or Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of related wort experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
- 10+ years’ experience with an Integrated Facilities Management “IFM” contract and partner
- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues and gain stakeholder alignment
Qualifications We Prefer

- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to travel up to 10%

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
