Job description
Reporting to the Manager Food Safety Quality & Regulatory Affairs, you will support food safety and quality processes, procedures, and the day-to-day activities of the Operational Quality Assessment function. You will monitor and identify incomplete or missing requirements against assessment guidance documents for internal manufacturing facilities. You will also support Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory Affairs Supply Chain initiatives to drive continuous improvement across the network.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Conduct, lead, and document Operational Quality Assessments at manufacturing facilities independently or as part of a team to determine compliance
- Capture and communicate assessment observations and support calibration discussions to ensure alignment and consistency
- Identify and communicate systemic trends and recurring deficiencies to drive risk-based improvements
- Share best practices and opportunities for improvement across facilities to elevate overall performance
- Support verification of Food Safety Plans, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Partner with facility and enterprise leadership teams throughout all phases of the assessment process
- Support Safe Quality Food (SQF) compliance activities, including audit coordination, corrective actions, documentation management, and training updates
- Maintain knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative benchmarked schemes and prerequisite programs such as Good Manufacturing Practices, sanitation, pest control, and allergen management
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science , Biological Science, Chemical Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, including food safety assessments or audit experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety systems, manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements including Global Food Safety Initiative, Food Safety Modernization Act, Food and Drug Administration, and United States Department of Agriculture
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience with troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative problem-solving
- This position is located in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, select field locations or remote locations Denver, CO and east and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport
- Willingness to travel up to 50 to 75 percent domestically

You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary .

Compensation
Annual Base Salary: $82,000.00 - $100,000.00
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
