What is the opportunity?

The Analyst, Product Insights & Competitive Research will be responsible for supporting the execution of the intelligence and insights mandate and go-to-market initiatives through day-to-day product/market research activities, performance tracking and active maintenance of information systems and team processes.

What will you do?

  • Own market monitoring activities that identify relevant competitor activities and industry/market trends
  • Compile, write and publish the team’s bi-weekly competitive newsletters with appropriate context and analytical perspective
  • Support the development and maintenance of the centralized intelligence repository and/or team content sites by building, designing and/or updating materials
  • Prepare competitive reports and presentation material including, but not limited to, market positioning, executive dashboards/summaries, product battlecards, etc
  • Run and maintain product rates in a comprehensive repository for reporting and/or analysis
  • Serve as the external coordinator of information with third party vendors
  • Provide team operational support through project monitoring and tracking and inbox oversight
  • Support senior insights team members with ad-hoc product/market research requests and Product Enablement with go-to-market initiatives

What will you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 2 years of professional experience in research/insights or strategy/business analysis capacity
  • Experience in or working understanding of the life insurance industry and various products
  • Ability to clearly organize, articulate and share research findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Technically savvy; highly proficient in MS Office Suite tools and strong technical aptitude to learn/use internal and third-party intelligence tools
  • Experience supporting the automation/streamlining of processes, information management and reporting activities
  • Strong customer focus and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadline constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong business acumen, with a natural curiosity and analytical mindset

Nice to have

  • Experience or strong aptitude to rapidly develop a working understanding of the life insurance industry
  • Knowledge of more than one of the following product categories: Individual Insurance, Group Benefits, Travel and/or Creditor Insurance

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00
