SAP Data & Analytics Architect

We are seeking an experienced SAP Data & Analytics Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise-scale SAP analytics solutions. Responsibilities

• Define and lead the end-to-end SAP data and analytics architecture, spanning ingestion, modeling, governance, and consumption.
• Establish and maintain reference architectures and design standards for SAP analytics platforms.
• Drive architectural decisions for SAP BDC, SAP Datasphere, BW/4HANA or BWonHANA, and S/4HANA analytics integration.
• Align SAP data strategy with enterprise data platform initiatives and cloud transformation programs.
• Design and implement scalable data models and data products using SAP BW, Datasphere, and S/4HANA.
• Architect real-time and batch data integration pipelines between SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Enable seamless analytics and reporting capabilities using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Lead technical design reviews and guide development teams on best practices.
• Define and enforce data governance, data quality, lineage, and metadata management frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data standards, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement data harmonization and semantic modeling strategies across SAP domains.
• Drive modernization initiatives from SAP BW to Datasphere / SAP BDC architecture.
• Evaluate emerging SAP capabilities (AI/ML, embedded analytics, data products) and integrate them into the architecture landscape.
• Lead POCs/POVs to evaluate new tools and approaches for SAP analytics modernization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and IT leadership to align analytics solutions with business needs.
• Provide architectural leadership across cross-functional teams (data engineering, analytics, and platform teams).
• Mentor architects and engineers on SAP analytics best practices.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in SAP Data & Analytics Architecture.
• 10+ years of overall experience in SAP Data & Analytics, data engineering, or related domains.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC)
• SAP BW / BW4HANA
• SAP Datasphere
• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics
• Experience designing end-to-end SAP analytics solutions across multiple landscapes.
• Deep understanding of:
• Data modeling (InfoProviders, CDS views, semantic models)
• Data integration (SLT, SDI, APIs, ETL tools)
• Analytics and reporting frameworks in SAP
• Proven experience defining enterprise-level architecture and standards.
• Strong experience in cloud-based data platforms and hybrid architectures.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions and influence senior stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience in SAP BW modernization and migration to Datasphere / BDC.
• Familiarity with data governance tools and metadata management platforms.
• Exposure to AI/ML integration within SAP analytics ecosystems.
• SAP certifications in BW, Datasphere, SAC, or S/4HANA analytics.
