ROLE 1 - Software Development Apprentice

Role Overview

The Software Development Apprentice role is designed for early-career graduates who are passionate about software engineering, problem-solving, and building technology solutions in a collaborative environment. The apprentice will work with engineering teams to learn software development practices, contribute to application development, and gain exposure to modern technologies, coding standards, and enterprise-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Participate in requirement discussions, sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Support debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, quality engineering, product, and operations.
  • Learn and apply software development methodologies, engineering best practices, and secure coding principles.
  • Contribute to proof-of-concepts, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Build familiarity with cloud platforms, databases, APIs, and modern development frameworks.

Required Qualifications / Key Skills

  • Must be a graduate, preferably from the 2026 batch.
  • Must have zero prior full-time work experience. Internship, academic project, or apprenticeship exposure may be considered, provided it was not full-time employment.
  • Must not have an existing Provident Fund account.
  • B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong academic record with a passion for software development.
  • Demonstrated interest in technology, coding, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a rapidly changing technology environment.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country of application.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with Java, Python, Angular, C#, .NET, React, or similar technologies.
  • Basic understanding of database concepts and query languages such as MS SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • Exposure to version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Basic knowledge of software design principles and design patterns.
  • Eagerness to learn cloud technologies such as AWS.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

ROLE 2 - Testing & Quality Engineering Apprentice — QA / SDET

Role Overview

The Testing & Quality Engineering Apprentice role is ideal for graduates who are interested in software quality, automation, testing practices, and modern engineering tools. The apprentice will support QA and SDET teams in validating software quality, writing test cases, learning automation frameworks, and contributing to reliable delivery of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in understanding requirements and preparing test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to validate application functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Support defect identification, documentation, tracking, and retesting.
  • Learn and apply software testing methodologies, QA processes, and automation best practices.
  • Collaborate with developers, product teams, and QA engineers to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, test planning, regression testing, and release validation activities.
  • Gain exposure to API testing, UI testing, database validation, and test automation frameworks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes, automation coverage, and quality metrics.
  • Explore modern testing approaches, including AI-assisted testing and automation productivity tools.

Preferred Advanced / SDET-Specific Skills

  • Basic understanding of automation testing concepts and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, or Cucumber.
  • Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar utilities.
  • Interest in CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.

ROLE 3 - Database Administration Apprentice — DBA Apprentice

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in database monitoring, maintenance, and operational support activities.
  • Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Support database health checks, access reviews, documentation, and routine administrative tasks.
  • Learn backup, recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning concepts.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving database-related issues under the guidance of senior DBAs.
  • Support automation of repetitive database tasks using Python or scripting tools.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and operations teams for database support.
  • Document processes, issues, resolutions, and technical learnings.
  • Explore the use of Generative AI tools for productivity, documentation, coding assistance, and automation support.

Required Qualifications / Key Skills

  • Must be a graduate, preferably from the 2026 batch.
  • Must have zero prior full-time work experience. Internship, academic project, or apprenticeship exposure may be considered, provided it was not full-time employment.

  • B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Basic awareness of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

ROLE 4 - Technology Apprentice — Power BI / Data & Reporting

Role Overview

The Technology Apprentice role is designed for graduates interested in data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, business intelligence, and visualization. The apprentice will support teams in developing Power BI reports, analyzing data, building interactive dashboards, and creating metrics that help stakeholders make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Support data analysis, data modeling, and interactive visualization requirements.
  • Write SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
  • Help define and develop KPIs, metrics, and business reporting views.
  • Use DAX formulas to support calculations, measures, and dashboard logic.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, flat files, APIs, and cloud platforms.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into meaningful visualizations.

  • Basic understanding of KPIs, metrics, and business reporting concepts.
  • Familiarity with DAX formulas for calculations and reporting logic.
