Janitor

Janitor/Maintenance Location: Sunnyside Adult Residential Facility – Torrance, CA Pay: $19.00-$21.25 per hour DOE Schedule: Full-Time | 2 shifts available: Wednesday -Sunday 10:00a-6:00p (5 days/wk)

Saturday- Sunday 8:00a–4:00p Monday-Tuesday 10:00a–6:00p (4 days a wk)

Must be able to pass a background check, fingerprinting is required for this role

Sunnyside Adult Residential Facility (a large, unlocked mental health group home) is looking for a dependable Janitor to help keep our facility clean, sanitary, and safe for residents, staff, and visitors.

• Perform daily janitorial tasks throughout the facility
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and recreational areas
• Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and buff floors as needed
• Clean windows, mirrors, and high-touch surfaces
• Landscape 2 courtyards
• Assemble resident furniture as needed
• Change lightbulbs, and other small maintenance tasks given by Campus Maintenance Director
• Disinfect and deodorize according to policy
• Remove trash and reline receptacles with clean liners
• Must be able to perform physical cleaning duties throughout the day
• Previous janitorial experience is required, some maintenance experience/knowledge is preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a background check, fingerprinting is required for this role
• Must commit to 1 of theses 2 shifts permanently: Wednesday -Sunday 10:00a-6:00p (5 days/wk) Saturday- Sunday 8:00a–4:00p Monday-Tuesday 10:00a–6:00p (4 days a wk)
