We operate across Amazon MX, Mercado Libre MX, Shopify MX, Shopify US and TikTok Shop. Amazon MX and Mercado Libre MX are two of our most important sales channels, with full P&L ownership — not a support function. As these channels scale, we are strengthening internal ownership to ensure strong commercial execution, organic ranking, and profitability.

The opportunity

We don't need someone to support our marketplaces.

We need someone who owns them.

This role owns Amazon MX & Mercado Libre MX end-to-end. You sign the numbers: revenue, contribution margin, Buy Box %, and ACoS/TACoS.

You define the commercial strategy, operate Mercado Libre Ads directly, coordinate Amazon PPC execution, defend the brand against resellers, and align paid activations with Performance. You also lead and mentor our Marketplaces Analyst.

What you'll own

  • Amazon MX & Mercado Libre MX as sales channels — operationally, commercially, and from a P&L perspective
  • Revenue and contribution margin across both marketplaces
  • Pricing, discounts, bundles, and promotional mechanics aligned with the global calendar and platform events (Hot Sale, Buen Fin, Mercado Libre Days, Prime Day)
  • Catalog parity and quality between both marketplaces (content, A+ Content, images, descriptions, variants)
  • Buy Box % per SKU, account health, and availability on Amazon
  • Mercado Libre Ads (Product Ads, Brand Ads, Display) with ownership of ACoS and TACoS
  • Reseller management and brand integrity across both marketplaces
  • Development and mentoring of the Marketplaces Analyst

What you'll do

  • Commercial strategy: Define and execute pricing, discounts, bundles, and promotional mechanics aligned with the global calendar and platform events.
  • P&L ownership: Sign revenue and contribution margin in both marketplaces, identifying cost savings (fees, storage, fulfillment) and pushing their implementation with the relevant areas.
  • Mercado Libre Ads: Operate Product Ads, Brand Ads, and Display directly, optimizing ACoS and TACoS.
  • Amazon PPC: Coordinate with the dedicated PPC team to align campaign execution with the commercial calendar and inventory.
  • Buy Box & account health: Defend and improve Buy Box % per SKU, monitoring pricing, account health, and availability.
  • Organic ranking: Identify ranking opportunities on both marketplaces (keywords, backend search terms, A+ Content).
  • Reseller management: Manage reseller conflicts on both marketplaces, defending price, Buy Box, and brand integrity.
  • Inventory: Push and escalate to Supply and Inventory to avoid stockouts.
  • Team leadership: Lead and mentor the Marketplaces Analyst in daily operation, commercial judgment, and advanced use of marketplace tools (Helium 10, AdLabs, Nubimetrics, Jungle Scout, Keepa, Perpetua).
  • Cross-functional alignment: Work horizontally with the Performance Marketing Specialist to ensure cross-channel paid coherence.
  • Reporting: Deliver a weekly marketplaces performance report with variance vs plan and actionable recommendations to the Ecommerce Manager MX.

This role reports directly to the Ecommerce Manager MX. Scope is exclusively Amazon MX and Mercado Libre MX (TikTok Shop and international markets are out of scope).

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years operating Amazon and/or Mercado Libre marketplaces with direct revenue and margin responsibility — not as support, not as execution for others.
  • Hands-on experience operating marketplace advertising (Mercado Libre Ads and/or Amazon PPC) with direct ACoS/TACoS or ROAS accountability.
  • Proven experience defining commercial strategies : pricing, discounts, bundles, and promotional mechanics around major platform events (Hot Sale, Buen Fin, Mercado Libre Days, Prime Day).
  • Strong command of marketplace operations : catalog quality, A+ Content, Buy Box, account health, reviews, and organic ranking (keywords, backend search terms).
  • Advanced use of marketplace tools such as Helium 10, AdLabs, Nubimetrics, Jungle Scout, Keepa or Perpetua.
  • Data-driven mindset: comfortable reading P&L and performance reports, interpreting margin, and making decisions based on evidence.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, sufficient to communicate effectively with international contractors and teams (briefs, calls, written reports, Slack).
  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Based in Guadalajara, or willing to relocate.

Skills

  • Commercial-first mindset with a strong ownership mentality — you sign marketplace results.
  • Structured and analytical — decisions based on data, not gut.
  • Able to lead and mentor an analyst while staying hands-on in the operation.
  • Able to coordinate with Performance, PPC, and Supply without needing constant approval.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience leading or mentoring a direct report (analyst or similar).
  • D2C ecommerce experience operating two markets simultaneously (MX and US).
  • Experience working with health, supplements, wellness, or food and beverage brands.
  • Experience managing reseller conflicts and defending brand integrity on marketplaces.
  • Familiarity with Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics 4, and attribution platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar) applied to analysis, reporting automation, and general productivity.

This is a role for someone who wants to own two marketplaces end-to-end — commercially, operationally, and strategically.
