Job description
To make all training arrangements as required and assist the Senior Cadet and Training Officer as and when required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To maintain an effective system for monitoring the valid status of crew certificates on crew database.
- To ensure all training requests/enquiries received are in accordance with client instruction or matrix, otherwise approval to be sought from the client.
- Ensure a Training Bonds issued to AE personnel attending training when required.
- Maintain status of course details in relevant spreadsheet
- Liaise with Marine HR, travel agent and crew members, arrange travel/logistics for training / cadets.
- Be familiar with STCW and certification requirements and share any update on new legislation
- Complete audits of training centres, attend client meeting and after hours coverage as required.
- Promote and comply with the company’s “Health, Safety and Environmental Policy” plus any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Management of the company.
Knowledge & Experience
Education: Minimum of Five National 5 or equivalent (qualifications) including English and Mathematics or relevant experience gained in a similar role and/or environment
Experience: Previous similar office-based role
Specific Business Knowledge: Shipping/Crewing knowledge preferred
