This Position reports to

Operational Applications Manager

In this role, you will be the strategic link between ABB's business operations and our information systems infrastructure. You'll drive the definition and delivery of IS solutions that enable business transformation across ABB Robotics and beyond. Working with stakeholders across the Communication domain, you'll translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications, ensuring our systems evolve to meet our organization's strategic objectives. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to shape how technology serves our business at scale.

This is a global role; the preferred locations are Poland, Czech Republic, India or Spain.

Your responsibilities

• Lead business analysis by providing technical and business process expertise to support decisions on new or changed IS solutions and services within your scope
• Bridge business and technology by collecting, analyzing, and translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications for internal and external delivery partners
• Drive solution design using data analytics and advanced modelling techniques to identify opportunities, assess processes, and define solutions that align with ABB's IS strategy and business objectives
• Support continuous improvement by engaging stakeholders in service enhancement initiatives and ensuring solutions meet defined specifications through user acceptance testing
• Manage stakeholder relationships by collaborating with senior stakeholders to define costs, estimate efforts, pre-qualify change requests, and maintain visibility of upcoming demand
• Ensure compliance and quality by adhering to corporate IS policies, procedures, and governance standards while maintaining alignment between ABB's IS strategy and business strategy
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure proposed solutions meet user needs and align with design standards and digital experience goals.
• Support impact assessments and change analysis for enhancements, integrations, and platform updates.
• Define and validate test scenarios , support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and help ensure release readiness.

Qualifications for the role

• Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Systems, Business Engineering, or similar field
• 2+ years of practical experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Functional Analyst with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical IS capabilities and influence stakeholders toward common goals
• Proficiency in business process analysis, requirements elicitation, and specification development
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus
• Familiarity with IS governance, ITIL principles, or enterprise architecture concepts preferred
