Overview:
Product Marketing at Mitel sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. In this role, you will translate complex communications technologies—including hybrid cloud platforms, mission-critical solutions, industry-specific deployments, and hardware—into compelling messaging that resonates with IT decision-makers, business leaders, partners, and customers across global markets.
You will own product marketing strategy and execution for assigned product lines or solution areas, including positioning, messaging, go-to-market (GTM) planning, launch execution, and lifecycle marketing. Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Regional Marketing, and external partners, you will drive market differentiation, product adoption, and effective market positioning across more than 100 countries.
Responsibilities:
Messaging, Positioning & Value Creation:
Develop and own product positioning, value propositions, messaging frameworks, and differentiation strategies for assigned product lines or solutions.
Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, buyer-relevant messaging for IT Directors, CIOs, business leaders, and technical stakeholders.
Ensure consistent messaging across all customer-facing, partner-facing, and internal communications.
Create and adapt content across multiple formats, including white papers, solution briefs, landing pages, sales presentations, video scripts, PR materials, and digital campaigns.
Launch & Go-to-Market Ownership:
Own end-to-end go-to-market planning and execution for product launches across multiple regions.
Develop launch strategies, messaging, audience segmentation, channel approaches, and success metrics.
Build and manage integrated launch plans across Product, Engineering, Sales, Enablement, Regional Marketing, and agency partners.
Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps early, and drive resolution to ensure successful launch execution.
Ensure lifecycle marketing alignment post-launch, including adoption, upsell, and retention messaging.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Act as the primary bridge between Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to translate roadmaps and technical capabilities into market-ready messaging and campaigns.
Partner with regional marketing teams across EMEA, North America, and APAC to ensure global strategies are effectively localized.
Collaborate with Sales and Sales Enablement teams to develop market positioning, objection-handling guidance, and customer-facing enablement materials.
Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on messaging, priorities, and GTM execution plans.
Market, Customer & Competitive Intelligence:
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, key market players, and industry dynamics across enterprise communications and UCaaS markets.
Monitor market trends, industry developments, and customer needs to identify opportunities, risks, and positioning strategies for Mitel.
Gather and synthesize customer, partner, and sales feedback to refine positioning and identify market opportunities.
Translate market insights into actionable positioning, messaging, and product marketing recommendations.
Leverage competitive and market insights to support accurate positioning of Mitel and strengthen customer-facing messaging and sales enablement.
Pricing, Packaging & Commercial Input:
Contribute to pricing and packaging strategies through market, customer, and competitive insights.
Support Product Management and Revenue teams in evaluating pricing models, packaging structures, and market positioning.
Provide data-driven recommendations based on customer behavior, win/loss analyses, and market benchmarks.
Requirements:
Proven ability to create clear, persuasive, and high-impact messaging for diverse audiences and channels.
Experience translating technical product concepts into business-value narratives and customer-facing content.
Strong storytelling, editing, and content-structuring skills.
5–8+ years of experience in product marketing, B2B marketing, or go-to-market roles within a regional or global organization.
Proven ownership of product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution.
Experience supporting or leading complex product launches in enterprise technology environments.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders.
Ability to manage complex GTM programs with multiple dependencies, timelines, and global coordination requirements.
Strong prioritization skills, execution discipline, and the ability to drive accountability without direct authority.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Marketing functions.
Strong collaboration skills in global, matrixed environments.
Ability to build alignment across diverse teams and geographies.
Additional Skills (Advantageous):
Fluency in French or German.
Product marketing experience, including formal Product Marketing Manager (PMM) roles, launch ownership, or positioning work within a B2B technology environment.
Telecommunications or UC industry experience, including familiarity with enterprise communications, cloud versus on-premises deployment models, or contact center solutions.
