THE ROLE
The Dishwasher / Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen and food & beverage operations. This role ensures all dishware, cookware, equipment, and service areas are cleaned, stocked, and maintained to support efficient operations and exceptional guest service. The Dishwasher / Porter also assists with inventory, deliveries, event support, and general kitchen upkeep.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store all china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen utensils.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, pots, pans, workstations, and food preparation areas.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, storage areas, and service corridors.
- Monitor inventory levels and obtain supplies, equipment, and products as needed for assigned areas.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, unloading pallets, stocking storerooms, and replenishing service stations.
- Perform routine inventory counts and maintain adequate stock levels within assigned areas.
- Transport food, supplies, equipment, and other materials safely and efficiently throughout the operation.
- Support event and operational setup, breakdown, and other assigned functions as needed.
- Complete assigned opening and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all sanitation and food safety requirements.
- Provide timely, professional support to team members to ensure efficient operation and service delivery.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this role successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience in dishwashing, stewarding, porter, warehouse, food service, or hospitality operations preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of food service sanitation, safety practices, and kitchen operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business needs require.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions associated with dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, and material handling; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
COMPENSATION
$20/hour + a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan.
