Your Role as our Team Leader – Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS)
The Team Leader – ACVVS provides leadership and oversight of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, ensuring the program runs smoothly, meets compliance requirements, and delivers meaningful outcomes.
Leading a small team, this role supports the matching of socially isolated older people with caring volunteers, while fostering a positive and supportive environment for both staff and volunteers.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead, mentor, and support a team of ACVVS Coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Oversee caseload allocation to ensure efficient matching and balanced workloads.
Ensure full compliance with ACVVS National Guidelines, Aged Care Quality Standards, and WMQ requirements.
Drive volunteer recruitment and community outreach to engage diverse volunteers and isolated older people.
Maintain accurate records, reporting, and data integrity across all systems, including preparation of KPIs and funding reports.
Oversee onboarding, security checks, and training to ensure volunteers are well-prepared and compliant.
Build strong partnerships with aged care providers and implement feedback processes to enhance program impact and experience.
This is a fixed-term position until 30/06/2031.

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience leading and developing small teams, ideally within community services or aged care.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and deliver professional reports, presentations, and training.
Experience managing contracts, KPIs, compliance, and reporting within a regulated environment.
High attention to detail in data management and record-keeping, alongside a genuine passion for supporting older Australians and reducing social isolation.
A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!
Strong understanding of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) or similar federally funded community-based social support programs.
Tertiary qualifications, diploma, or relevant experience in Community Services, Human Services, Social Science, or a related field.
Experience using CRM databases and the ACVVS portal (or similar government reporting platforms) for data management and reporting.
Essential Requirements
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
