Job description

The Team:
We are looking for a Technical Architect to drive delivery, technical coordination, and execution for a modern cloud-native object storage platform. This role combines engineering leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on technical guidance in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

The Role :
The modern object storage platform is a cloud-native system designed to store and manage large volumes of unstructured data via S3-compatible APIs. It is built on Kubernetes and integrates with Keycloak, Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed data services.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is technically strong, delivery-focused, and capable of balancing architecture, execution, and team growth. They are comfortable working across distributed systems, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment.

What you'll bring:

Team Leadership & People Development
- Lead a development team delivering platform features and capabilities
- Set priorities, align sprint goals, and ensure delivery commitments
- Mentor engineers through design reviews and career development
- Foster a culture of ownership, quality, and collaboration
- Identify risks early and remove blockers

Technical Design & Delivery
- Lead technical design of platform features and integrations
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Review architecture and code changes
- Translate product requirements into technical plans
- Drive engineering best practices and observability
- Support root cause analysis for complex issues

Cross-functional Coordination
- Partner with Product Management on scope and priorities
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Security, and Support teams
- Coordinate with adjacent platform teams and services
- Represent the team in planning and architecture discussions

Execution Excellence & Quality
- Monitor delivery progress, velocity, and defect trends
- Ensure stories are well-defined and testable
- Maintain high standards across design, testing, and documentation
- Promote CI/CD, automation, and quality practices

- Features are delivered on schedule with high quality
- Low production defects and strong system reliability
- Dependencies identified and managed early
- Stable and predictable team velocity
- Team members grow in capability and ownership

Required qualifications and skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience leading engineering teams
- Strong background in distributed systems and cloud-native platforms
- Strong experience with Java, Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices
- Understanding of AWS S3 APIs and authentication
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Strong communication and decision-making skills

Preferred skills:
- Experience with object storage platforms and S3 systems
- Familiarity with Keycloak, Prometheus, Grafana
- Experience in observability and incident response
- Knowledge of enterprise storage and security practices
