JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
SUMMARY:The Project Coordinator works as the key personnel to coordinate, prepare, store and distribute all project deliverables in an organized manner. The Project Coordinator should have a working knowledge of the information required and the approved procedures necessary to execute a sound and efficient project or change request.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collaborate with subsidiary leadership and global cross-functional teams to execute projects accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
Partner with local, global, internal, and external stakeholders to collect information and develop reports, project briefs, and supporting documentation.
Ensure project specifications and change request documentation are consistently developed, maintained, and aligned with business requirements.
Monitor and track project milestones, deliverables, and change initiatives to ensure timely completion.
Prepare project status reports, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes to support communication and decision-making.
Maintain and organize all project-related documentation, including specifications, communications, and supporting records.
Update project management tools with current project statuses, progress notes, and action items.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to define project scope, review requirements, develop accurate estimates, and recommend adjustments to proposed solutions and final designs.
Proactively identify, assess, and communicate project risks, issues, dependencies, and corrective actions while providing timely and professional updates to stakeholders.
Escalate and communicate delays, blockers, or risks that may impact project delivery timelines or completion.
Maintain project governance materials, templates, status reports, meeting notes, communications, and planning documentation within SharePoint and other designated platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to grasp technical concepts
Familiar with PDF and Snagit;
Must be comfortable with communication tools such as Skype, ZOOM, BT Conferencing, and others.
Organizational skills; abilty to manage multiple tasks
Effective communication
Proficient analytical skills
Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience
Experience in Freight Forwarding – Accounting, operational or job costing, preferred
Experience in either Cargowise, JDE, Concur or COGNOS, preferred
Interpreting and drafting technical and training documentation a plus
Experience in project coordination or management, preferred
Accounting or Project Management Certification: CIA, CFA, CPA, CMA, PMP, a plus
ENVIRONMENT:
100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
