Job Summary/Basic Function

Adjunct faculty for 1 or more psychology classesAdjunct faculty are responsible for the synchronous teaching of one or more undergraduate courses in psychology. Successful candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, strong commitment to undergraduate education in a liberal arts environment, and possess the ability to create inclusive learning experiences for an increasingly diverse student body. Psychology courses typically enroll up to 35 students. Responsibilities include preparing course materials, delivering instruction, assessing student performance, maintaining accurate course records, and adhering to departmental and college policies.

Adjunct faculty are expected to hold regular office hours to support students, respond to student inquiries in a timely manner, and provide academic guidance related to course content. Qualifications include a master's degree (completed or in progress) in psychology or a closely related field (doctoral degree preferred) and demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level.
