The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
As Gas Engineering Supervisor, you’ll combine hands-on technical work with team leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient gas services across multiple sites.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, support, and motivate a team of Gas Engineers and technicians
Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence
Deliver regular safety briefings, audits, and training sessions
Technical & Compliance Excellence
Carry out advanced diagnostics, repairs, and installations
Ensure 100% compliance with Gas Safety Regulations
Oversee gas inspections, certification, and documentation
Manage SharePoint systems including compliance tracking and calibration records
Audit works and lead investigations where required
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with clients, building managers, and contractors
Coordinate maintenance and ensure minimal service disruption
Attend and contribute to monthly Gas forums
Emergency Response
Take control of emergency gas situations
Lead rapid response teams to ensure safe and effective resolution
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a technically strong engineer with leadership experience and a passion for high standards.
Gas Safe registered with full commercial and domestic qualifications
(CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, COCN1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, CORT1, CDGA1, CIGA1, TPCP1A)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial gas engineering
Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers
Strong knowledge of commercial plant rooms, boilers, and heating systems
Confident with compliance, audits, and technical documentation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Full UK driving licence
